Operation
The receiver frequency counter is a digital frequency counter with which the PA004 VHF / UHF direction finder system can be retrofitted for digital frequency display.
The set is built into a 19„ metal cabinet.
The frequency is displayed using Nixie tubes. The intermediate frequency is deducted from the oscillator frequency of the receiver and the reception frequency is displayed directly; the IF to be deducted must be preset for the receiver.

Development
The FET 3 frequency counter was developed by Rohde & Schwarz at the end of the 1960s.
Use
The FET 3 was part of the PA004 direction finder, which was used in Switzerland as a ULPE (VHF UHF rotating direction finder) in Switzerland.
